A weighted club from northern Nigeria. Straight, wooden shaft of circular section covered in polished brown leather. The head is weighted by a spiralling band of iron, counter-balanced at bottom end by a smaller spiral of iron. Leather strap attached near to bottom end. Collected by Lieut Col Robert L. Beasley DSO between 1901 and 1906.
