Agricultural implement from Bornu or Bauchi regions of northern Nigeria. Crude iron blade with a wide blunt edge; the tang fits into a simply carved wooden handle which is 'elbow' shaped and expands slightly at the butt. Collected by Lieut Col Robert L. Beasley DSO between 1901 and 1906.
