Two identical leather needle cases from northern Nigeria. Probably of Hausa manufacture. Triangular packets stuffed with an organic material and three tassels attached at lower end. Over the packet slips an outer triangular cover with red and dark brown linear decoration. At the upper end is a loop of leather forming a strap. Collected by Lieut Col Robert L. Beasley DSO between 1901 and 1906.
