Booklet cover has an image of the Terra Nova in the ice. Contents include the journey to the South Pole, the subsequent deaths of the five men involved (Captain R.F. Scott, Dr E.A. Wilson, Lieut. H.R. Bowers, Capt. L.E.G. Oates and Petty Officer Edgar Evans) and a map of their journey; Scott's last message (written in his diary); head and shoulders portraits and brief biographies of the five men; a letter from the Lord Mayor of London to the editor of the Daily Express re the penny collection for the Mansion House Fund, dated 14 February 1913. Enclosed is a newspaper cutting with an image depicting four of the men looking at Amundsen's tent pitched at the South Pole.
