Gilt bronze box, decorated with garnets, cedarwood interior, hinged lid by Gilbert Marks. Every piece Marks made was unique and hammered by hand. All his pieces were commissioned. Contemporary critucs described him as 'one of the most skilful artist-craftsmen in metal in this country.'
