Описание
A neolithic polished stone axehead found in the archaeological excavations for the Andoversford by-pass, Gloucestershire, in 1970. Of sub-triangular form, a very broad, asymmetrical cutting edge. The sides taper sharply in to the narrow butt, which has been partly broken away. The axehead has an asymmetrical cross-section and is made from a corase, mottled rock identified as a tourmalised greenstone, probably of Cornish origin.
