An Illuminated Address to Charles Marshall, St Mary's Church, Cheltenham, 1904.

An illuminated address to Charles Marshall on his retirement as People's Churchwarden of St Mary's Parish Church in Cheltenham on 7th June 1904. The address is bound into a hardcover book with a pale blue cover bearing the initials 'C.M.' inlaid in gold. It consists of 4 handwritten and painted leaves of thick card, edged in gold, and a final paper page carrying the signatures of well-wishers. The first leaf is richly decorated in colour with a floral border, a drawing of St Mary's church and the Cheltenham town crest. Each of the other leaves is also decorated with a border and capital letters picked out in gold and painted a variety of colours. The last decorated leaf has the signatures of the Rector, the Churchwardens and members of the congregation and subscribers.
