A Red Cross Badge of The First World War.

A gilt and enamel red cross badge. Set on a gilded mount, the central enamelled white shield bears a red cross within a gilded border. Beneath is a pale yellow enamel panel in the form of an open scroll with the word 'Detachment' in gold letters. Above the shield is a golden crown. The back of the badge is gilded, bears the maker's name 'J.R. Gaunt, London' and has a pin. Awarded during the First World War.
