R.D. Russell (designer), Gordon Russell Ltd. (maker), Murphy Radio Ltd. (maker of radio)

Cabinet style radio veneered in walnut. Designed by R D Russell and made by Gordon Russell Ltd. The company began working with Murphy Radios in 1931. Although the designs were initially unpopular with retailers, they were popular with the public. In 1935 a factory was opened in Park Royal in London to make the radios. Thousands were made of some models.
