Private press book entitled 'The Story Of Sigurd The Volsung And The Fall Of The Niblungs' by William Morris. Published by the Kelmscott Press 19th January 1898. Copy given to Emery Walker by the trustees. For his poem William Morris used the old saga as it was written in Iceland, not the German story. He lengthened the whole, adding description. The borders Morris produced for this work were amongst the last he designed. Sir Edward Burne-Jones agreed to illustrate the book to please Morris. Upon William Morris's death, plans for a fully illustrated folio were abandoned. From the library belonging to Emery Walker.
