Gourd with a long curved-over neck with small cork in end. Body with incised depiction of the Emperor Napoleon in military uniform and a mass of foliate decoration. The word Ajaccio is incised at the bottom of the panel containing Napoleon. Two green cord attachment loops on one side. Register states from Algeria, but inscriptions and decoration suggest a souvenir from Corsica. Collection of Capt Robert Powley Wild.
