This book contains: / a) Sir Emery Walker's short article on Printing for the /catalogue of the first Arts and Crafts Exhibition at the /New Gallery Regent Street, 1888 / b) The first two paragraphs of the same article followed /by William Morris's expansion and completion of it for a /volume entitled 'Arts and Crafts Essays', 1893 / c) A note by William Morris on his Aims in founding the /Kelmscott Press, written 11th Nov 1895 for an American collector /and printed in the last book issued by the press, 1898. /d) Observations by William Morris on Process Engraving,/ apparently for a demonstration or a discussion- perhaps /at the Art Worker's Guild, of which Morris was master in 1892. / Sydney Cockerell, Kew 3 Oct 1951 (55th anniversary of W M's death) / These documents have an importance in connexion with the /history of the revival of fine printing in England in the last /decade of the 19th century. They were bound by Katharine Adams /at Broadway in Worcestershire in 1902.
